PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DENGAN MENERAPKAN TEKNOLOGI PIROLISIS PLASTIK DI BANK SAMPAH SIDOMULYO MAJU BAMBANGLIPURO
Abstract
Keberadaan sampah merupakan suatu hal yang mempunyai banyak dampak negatif pada manusia dan lingkungan sekitar, khususnya sampah plastik yang merupakan material yang sulit terurai di alam. Bank Sampah Sidomulyo Maju merupakan bank sampah yang terletak di Desa Sidomulyo, Bambanglipuro, Bantul. Berdasarkan informasi yang di peroleh dari website dan perangkat desa Sidomulyo, kegiatan yang saat ini berjalan di bank sampah Sidomulyo Maju adalah aktivitas pengumpulan dan pemilahan jenis sampah komunal yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat setempat.
Selaras dengan Program yang dicanangkan oleh Pemerintah Bantul “Bantul Bebas Sampah 2025” dan Program Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, diberikan Pelatihan Pembuatan Minyak Pirolisis dari Sampah Plastik kepada masyarakat dan anggota Bank Sampah Sidomulyo Maju di Desa Sidomulyo, Bambanglipuro, Bantul. Pelatihan yang dilakukan diharapkan dengan semangat pengabdian yang disusun oleh Perguruan Tinggi, yakni mengharapkan terjadinya transfer ilmu dan kemanfaatan dari civitas akademika kepada masyarakat luas.
