Special Issue

Special Issue: “Recent Advances in Telecommunications for 6G, AI, and Smart Connectivity.”

Background and Rationale
The rapid evolution of telecommunications is reshaping digital society, industrial transformation, and scientific innovation. The transition from 5G to 6G envisions ultra-reliable, intelligent, and sustainable connectivity that integrates terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, artificial intelligence, advanced radio technologies, and pervasive sensing capabilities. Alongside these developments, emerging paradigms such as Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), semantic communications, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC), Open RAN architectures, and AI-driven network automation are redefining how wireless systems are designed, optimized, and deployed.

To contribute to these advancements, JURNAL INFOTEL (Informatics, Telecommunications, and Electronics)—now accredited SINTA 1 and in the process of Scopus indexation—invites high-quality original research and review articles for a Special Issue entitled:

“Recent Advances in Telecommunications for 6G, AI, and Smart Connectivity.”

This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for cutting-edge research that bridges theoretical foundations, technological innovations, and practical implementations in next-generation telecommunications.
