Submission Preparation Checklist

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• Have at least 15 references with 80% of original research article (Journals)
• Use references published on the last 5 years. It is preferable to use recent references or no longer than 10 years, except the references are considered to be very important.
• Use reference manager e.g. Mendeley or others when managing the references
• Add all authors and complete affiliation in the metadata
• The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
• Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
• The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
• The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
• NEW ⇶ I have completed and signed the Ethical Statement Form and will upload it along with the accepted manuscript. Without this Ethical Statement Form, the manuscript will not be published.

Author Guidelines

1. Introduction

Journal of JASMED is a scientific journal published by Telkom University, Indonesia. Journal of JASMED covers the field of informatics, information system, software engineering and applications. First published will be in Maret 2023 for a online version. Journal of JASMED aims are to disseminate research results and to improve the productivity of scientific publications. Journal of JASMED is published two times in January-June and July-December. Starting in 2023, Journal of JASMED uses Indonesian as the primary language and English as the second language .

2. General Guidelines

General guidelines for writing in Journal of JASMED are as follows :

• Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English 
• Make sure that your paper is prepared using the JOURNAL JASMED Template and Ethical Statement Form when if it accepted
• At least 30 references with 80% coming from the original research article (Journal)

3. Guidelines for The Manuscript Body Text

Scientific articles will be published in the Journal of Software Engineering and Multimedia (JASMED) must follow the rules of writing on the paper body. The rules follow the pattern of IMRAD (Introduction, Method, Result, and Discussion) added the last section is conclusion section.

Title : The title should be concise and indicate the identity of the subject, the research objectives, and keywords.

Author name : The author's name without academic degrees and not preceded by the word "by" followed by the name of the institution, address of  institution and contact email.

Abstract : Abstract should describe the entire content of the article with maximum of 250 word. It is not allowed references to figures and tables.  it is written in a straightforward, concise, and must include:

• Background (optional, one or two sentence)
• Research objective
• Method
• Result
• Conclusion

Keyword : Use keywords can describe the content of article. It is written in 3 to 5 words.

Introduction : Basically, in the introduction provides general background research, literature review (state of the art), originality of research (gap analysis), and research objectives. In the literature review, there are at least five articles reviewed briefly that can justify the novelty of the research.

Method : In the methods section provides a summary of the methods used, such as the subjects studied, tools and materials used, model or design used, sampling technique, the measured variable, analysis and statistical models used.

Result : In the results section contains the presentation of the results of research can be illustrated using tables or figures to clarify the presentation of the results verbally. The data presented is data that is processed, not raw data.

Discussion : material discussion mainly concerned, whether the results are consistent with the hypothesis or not, and put forward the argument.

Conclusion : write the conclusions of the research that has been done and future works. The conclusion must answer the purpose of the study or hypothesis. Write the conclusion briefly and clearly. Do not discuss again at the conclusion. Do not use Bullet / Numbering.

4. The Guidelines for Citations and References

The citation style of reference sources in the Journal of Software Engineering and Multimedia (JASMED) uses the IEEE style. It is recommended to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero and others.

• This license allows anyone to:
  • Share (copy and redistribute the material in any format).

• Proper attribution to the original authors and journal must be provided when using the work.

3. Author's Right to Share and Reuse

• Authors are permitted to:
  • Deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networks.
  • Use the article in future works, books, lectures, or conference presentations, with proper citation.
• Authors may distribute pre-print or post-print versions, provided they acknowledge the final published version in Journal of Software Engineering and Multimedia (JASMED).

4. Editorial and Publishing Rights

• By submitting their manuscript, authors agree that the journal has the right to format, archive, and distribute the work while ensuring its proper indexing and citation.
• The journal reserves the right to withdraw or retract articles in case of ethical violations, plagiarism, or academic misconduct.

5. Disclaimer

• The views and opinions expressed in published articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or its editors.
• The journal shall not be held responsible for any inaccuracies, errors, or ethical breaches in published works.
