Author Guidelines

What we look for in your article

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

We consider for publication which:

  • report original science;
  • area of interest are of Accounting and Finance [Accounting and Financial Information, Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Financial research and behavioural accounting, Corporate finance, Cost Accounting, Ethical Issues in Accounting and Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, International Accounting and Finance, Investment, Management Accounting, Portfolio, Management, Risk Management, Social and Environmental Accounting, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Market Discipline, Behavioural Finance, International Finance, Market Microstructure]
  • have not been published previously in the peer-reviewed literature, including in another language,
  • are not under consideration for publication in any other peer-reviewed journal or book available through a library or by purchase;
  • JAF manuscripts are judged not only on the depth and scope of the ideas presented and their contributions to the field but also on their clarity and whether they can be read and understood

General

  • File Types: Word (doc, docx or PDF)
  • Maximum file size: 2 MB
  • Font: 12 point, Times New Roman
  • Text [Including references]: single-spaced, justify
  • Page Layout: 1-inch margins on all sides with page numbers in the bottom right corner
  • Page Maximum: 20 pages, properly formatted and inclusive of title, abstract, keywords, text, references, tables, figures, and footnotes
  • Papers can be written in English 
  • Figures and tables should be embedded at the appropriate point within the text, rather than placed at the end of the manuscript
  • Use the Mendeley tool to write your citations

Article Structure

  • Title with the title of the article, author(s) name, title, institution, address, telephone number, and e-mail address
  • Abstract: Consists 250 words (maximum), and keywords cover approximately three to five words.
  • Introduction
  • Research Methodology
  • Result and Discussion
  • Conclusions, limitations and suggestions
  • References: References for the last 10 years, primary references, or journals are preferred; comply with the APA citation style.
