Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Read the instructions for authors in the magazine and make sure to follow any instructions about data sets, ethics approval, or statements.
  • Listed all the writers on the paper and the online form for submitting it.
  • Referenced everything in the book in a clear and complete way.
  • I checked the data carefully and added any extra information that the journal asked for.
  • I told the journal about any competing goals that were important.
  • I got permission (in writing) to use any numbers, tables, or data sets again.
  • Do not send the paper to more than one magazine at once.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Communication, Business and Social Science (JCOBS) publishes original research within its focus and scope. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure smooth processing and publication of their manuscripts.

1. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system.
  • The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • Authors must use the official journal template, which can be downloaded here: [Insert hyperlink to template].
  • Manuscripts that do not follow the template will be returned for revision before further processing.

2. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must be structured as follows:

a. Title Page

  • Title: Concise, informative, and relevant to the study.
  • Author(s) Name(s), Affiliation(s), and Email(s).
  • Corresponding Author Details: Clearly indicate the corresponding author.

b. Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract: A structured summary (150-250 words) covering objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: 3-6 relevant keywords separated by semicolons (;).

c. Main Text

Manuscripts must include the following sections:

  1. Introduction - Background, problem statement, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study.
  2. Methodology - Detailed explanation of research methods, dataset, algorithms, and evaluation techniques.
  3. Results and Discussion - Clear presentation of findings with supporting analysis.
  4. Conclusion - Summary of key contributions, limitations, and future research directions.

d. References

  • A minimum of 15 references is required.
  • At least 80% of references must be from the last 5 years.
  • Use IEEE citation style for references.
  • All sources must be properly cited and formatted correctly.

Example of IEEE reference style:

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
  • Follow the official journal template.
  • Page setup: A4 size, single-column format, 1.5 line spacing.
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 11 (body text), size 14 bold (title), size 12 bold (headings).
  • Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially with descriptive captions.

Authors who publish in Journal of Communication, Business and Social Science (JCOBS) agree to the following terms:

1. Author Rights and Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain full copyright over their published work.
  • Authors grant Journal of Communication, Business and Social Science (JCOBS) the right of first publication with the work licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

2. License and Distribution

  • Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.
  • This license allows anyone to:
    • Share (copy and redistribute the material in any format).
    • Adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially).
  • Proper attribution to the original authors and journal must be provided when using the work.

3. Author's Right to Share and Reuse

  • Authors are permitted to:
    • Deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networks.
    • Use the article in future works, books, lectures, or conference presentations, with proper citation.
  • Authors may distribute pre-print or post-print versions, provided they acknowledge the final published version in Journal of Communication, Business and Social Science (JCOBS).

4. Editorial and Publishing Rights

  • By submitting their manuscript, authors agree that the journal has the right to format, archive, and distribute the work while ensuring its proper indexing and citation.
  • The journal reserves the right to withdraw or retract articles in case of ethical violations, plagiarism, or academic misconduct.

5. Disclaimer

  • The views and opinions expressed in published articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or its editors.
  • The journal shall not be held responsible for any inaccuracies, errors, or ethical breaches in published works.
