Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • the Author(s) declares that: The article is original, own work, and plagiarism-free.
  • the Author(s) declares that: The article contents have never been published in any language and any media (printed/ electronic). If there is duplicate publishing, the author is willing to delete the article from this journal.
  • the Author(s) declares that: The article is not currently under consideration by another journal
  • the Author(s) declares that: The Author(s) is willing to complete the editorial process until the decision is made by the editor, otherwise the Author(s) will be banned for one year by demandia
  • The format of the article is in Microsoft Word; written and arranged based on the newest template.
  • The similarity is less than 20% (the similarity scan is attached in the “Upload Additional Files”). Author(s) can contact the editor to waive this upload requirement if there is no access to the plagiarism checker.
  • The number of scientific readings used as a bibliography is at least 15 titles within the last 10 years (80% primary references and 20% secondary references). Primary references consist of journals, proceedings / papers, research reports, essays, thesis, dissertations, while secondary references, including general books and online sources of scientific information.
  • The citation uses the reference manager such as Mendeley/ End Note
  • The author upholds the copyright, privacy and ethics of scientific publications in demandia

Author Guidelines

  1. The editor receives articles in softcopy in Microsoft Word (doc/docx) format, submitted via demandia Open Journal System along with Plagiarism Check Result and Author Declaration Statement (in “Upload Additional Files” stage). The Author(s) should declare that: (a) The article is original, own work and plagiarism-free. (b) The article contents have never been published in any language and any media (printed/ electronic). If there is duplicate publishing, the author is willing to delete the article from this journal. (c) The article is not currently under consideration by another journal. (d) The Author(s) is willing to complete the editorial process until the decision is made by the editor, otherwise the Author(s) will be banned for one year by demandia

  2. A scan similarity result (e.g. iThenticate, Turnitin) is expected show less than 20%, otherwise the submission will be declined.
     
  3. Author(s) is required to follow demandia journal guidelines. All the articles will be reviewed by demandia reviewers. The editor is entitled to change some parts of contents (without changing the meaning).

  4. The article content covers but not limited to visual communication design, advertising, and design management. The article can be written down in proper Indonesian language or English. Please refer to https://puebi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ for the proper Bahasa Indonesia.

  5. Article is written on even pages but not exceeding 20 (twenty) pages; including abstract, content, all tables and images, and references. The script is typed with Microsoft Word program, A4 paper size, Calibri with 12 point font, justify text, 1.5 space with 4 cm below and top margin, and 3 cm outside margin. 

  6. Abstract (in Bahasa and English) consists of 150- 200 words written in one paragraph with Calibri font 11 pt in single space, and one column format. Abstract in English version is typed in italic. It should clearly and concisely contains background and research question, purposes, research method, research findings in general and the benefits. Key words should reflect the content of academic writing, the numbers are 3 to 5 words and separated with comma. 

  7. Article is written in essay format (without any bullets or numbering); organized in several parts started with Introduction, Research Methods, Findings and Discussion, Conclusion and References. The template can be downloaded on http://bit.do/demandia 

  8. References (minimum 15 sources) are written alphabetically in American Psychological Association 7th edition style ( http://bit.do/apastyle7th ) and it is compulsory to use reference manager such as Mendeley/ EndNote. (APA 7th edition Quick Guide download here). The article is urged to cite the reference published in the last ten years (80%) from primary references consist of journals, proceedings/ papers, research reports, essays, thesis, dissertations (80%).

  9. If the article submitted fails to meet one of the requirements above, then the article will be returned to the author for revision before proceeding to the peer-review process.

  10. Please refer to editorial process on OJS (https://journals.telkomuniversity.ac.id/demandia/pp) regarding editorial phases and revision time to make the editorial process effective and efficient.

  11. Please carefully read the Submission Requirements Checklist before proceeding to submit the article.

 

 How to make a submission:

  1. Please learn how an author works in OJS 3.2 from registration through to proofreading the final galley here (to download the tutorial).
  2. To make a submission, first, the author must register as an author in the "Register" button or HERE
  3. After the registration step is complete, login as an author, click "New Submission". The article submission stages consist : (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Confirmation. (5) Next Steps.
  4. In the "Start" stage, select Journal Section (Article), read and check all submission requirements.
  5. In the "Upload Submission" stage, upload the manuscript file in MS Word format. Repeat the process to upload additional files (upload the Author Declaration Statement and Plagiarism check result in this stage).
  6. In the "Enter Metadata" stage, complete all authors and affiliation data, Journal Title, Abstract, and
    Indexing Keywords. Use institutional email(s).
  7. In the "Confirmation" stage, click "Finish Submission" if the data you entered is correct.
